We train community and youths on farming for a better tomorrow
Oljoro foods is located at Oljororok situated at Mandalena farm lease by CAP in aid of a path way of youth empowerment through agriculture.
This is part of a 6 year journey. In the beginning, we have been providing young people with training, skills and help them to establish businesses and essentially earn money by working in the land and we have been very successful with that. In fact, to date more than 500 youths have benefited from that and they are able to earn a living from that.
Farming is not just growing food on the land, it’s a business that comes with many potential opportunities and challenges. Examples: Climate change.
One of the changes within our program is conversion from agriculture and agribusiness to climate smart agriculture.
